Bollywood director to produce Suriya's film

Neeraj Pande, who had directed the Akshay Kumar and Kajal Agarwal starrer Special 26, is all set to co-produce the film’s Tamil and Telugu versions. When director-producer Lingusamy approached for the remake rights of Special 26, the director expressed his desire to co-produce the film with Suriya in the lead.

This discussion seems to have materialized with Lingusamy and Neeraj agreeing to the terms and conditions and it now looks like Suriya will be reprising Akshay Kumar’s role in the remake. Lingusamy is expected to direct the Tamil and Telugu version of Special 26, states sources.
