Reason for expectations: After the subtle Seedan and the loud Mappillai, Dhanush returns with his first film with Hari, Venghai. Hari is synonymous with full-on masala entertainers and his latest Singham is being remade into Hindi with Ajay Devghn in the lead.  Hari is not promising anything path breaking in Venghai, just the regular commercial potboiler stuff that he does so well and proved in his previous movies.
 
Venghai has Tamannaah cast opposite Dhanush, Rajkiran, Goundamani, Senthil, Prakash Raj, Ganja Karuppu and Vijaykumar. Venghai’s music is scored by Devi Sri Prasad. Released about a month ago, Venghai’s album has 5 songs. All of them are slowing catching up among Dhanush fans and fans of FM stations.
 
Like Hari’s other movies, Venghai is also a short term duration project that started in November 2010 and will release this weekend, spending about 8 months in production.

Audience: Although Dhanush fans are expecting Venghai with bated breath, it can be assured that Hari’s movies are hardly letdowns. Like a genius, he expertly mixes all the elements making his movies family entertainers walking the rope, balancing commercial cinema and family sentiments.
