Reason for expectations: Vishal is back after his rather challenging role for Avan Ivan and swear not to touch another such role for a long time to come. His Vedi is the remake of the Telugu action entertainer Souryam. Prabhu Deva directs the movie with Vishal and Sameera Reddy playing leads. Prabhu Deva returns almost immediately after Engeyum Kadhal but hopefully this time he will find luck smiling at him again.

Apart from Vishal and Sameera Reddy, the movie also has Vivek and Poonam Kaur. Prabhu Deva personally invited Vivek to play the comedy part of the movie. Vivek is a gym instructor who apparently sports a six-pack in this film. He trains Vishal and probably Sameera Reddy as well in the movie and the hilarious situations arise out of their relationship.

Vedi is produced by Vishal’s brother and sister in law Vikram Krishna and Sriya Reddy for their home production GK Film Corporation. Vedi’s music is by hit maker Vijay Antony.

Level of expectations:  50%

Genere: Action

Audiences: Vedi’s fan base will mainly be Vishal fans, who will be more than happy to note that Vishal is back to his singing, dancing and fighting self with Vedi.
