Engeyum Kadhal Preview

Reason for expectations: Prabhu Deva might or might not have taken a leaf out of his love life but Engeyum Kadhal is an out and out love story, according to the director himself. He brings the quintessential NRI stories to Tamil with Engeyum Kadhal. It’s the story of a couple who lives in Paris and hence the story is set in the backdrop of the romance capital of the world.  Engeyum Kadhal was earlier called Ich and for some reasons, changed to the present title. This will also be one of few attempts Jayam Ravi makes to break away from the remakes-only tag he is spotting so far. Hansika Motwani plays his female lead after an unexciting debut she made with Dhanush’s Mappillai. Harris scores for Engeyum Kadhal and the fairly successful songs are expected to gain prominence after the release of the movie. Engeyum Kadhal is distributed by Sun Pictures.

 

Level of expectations: 60%

 

Genre: Love and Love only

 

Audience: General public, predominantly the college going youngsters are expected among the fans the movie is expected to exert a pull on. Since this falls in the romance genre, newlywed couples are also expected as the movie’s prospective audience.
