Reason for expectations: Shanthnoo tried everything to gain foothold in Tamil cinema. In the process, he became numerologically inclined and changed the spelling of his name. But anyway, he's still finding his foothold and Aayiram Vilakku will be an attempt at that. This movie will also be breaking away form his mold. He is identified with romantic, chocolate boyish characters so far in Tamil movies. In Aayiram Vilakku, he plays a gangster stuck between the warring aging gangsters Sathyaraj and Suman.

Sathyaraj also makes a comeback with Aayiram Vilakku. He is renowned for his sarcastic brand of comedy and Aayiram Vilakku will provide him enough scope to do just that, according to the story line. Touted to be a gangster action film, it also has a romantic angle going for it. Shanthnoo is paired opposite Sana Khan and their love makes the warring factions go bonkers over each other.

Directed by S P Hosimin, Aayiram Vilakku is produced by HMI Pictures. The movie's music is scored by Srikanth Deva.

Schedule to be released this weekend, on the 23rd of September, Aayiram Vilakku will have Sathyaraj fans going ga ga over his performance. His looks for the film has also generated enough curiosity among them. If well done, the movie has scope to be received well.
