Vishwaroopam changes the fate.....

Vishwaropam has changed the fate of several small theatres situated at the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. Several of these theatres were on the verge of closure for lack of patronage but Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam has changed it all.

When the TN government banned the film, people from Chennai, Coimbatore and those living in the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border made a beeline to these small theatres to watch the film. The result? Well, the theatres have collected a few lakh rupees we hear. Trade sources point out that the film has collected anywhere between 20 and 50 lakhs! This has given a new lease of life for the small theatres.
